Teddy_and_Grubby_accessories

Teddy Ruxpin and Grubby came with many accessories with the story book tape sets being the most
popular The story tape/book sets fit into Teddy's cassette player and you read along the story in the
book with a jingle being heard and Teddy reminding you at the beginning of each tape that when
you heard that sound you were to turn the page. The early versions of the Teddy Ruxpin books did
not have all the words to the story in the book. It would have a general sentence so you knew your
were on that page. Later versions of the story tape/book sets had all the words in the book on the
corresponding pages. Also available was the answer box that had it's own overlays and cassettes,
that were red in color. It plugged into Teddy so he could teach and ask questions about colors,
shapes, numbers etc. The answer box plugged into the Grubby connection port under Teddy's
Battery box. Another accessory was the projector. This also had it's own cassettes which were
blue in color. Teddy told the story and pictures were projected on the wall. This also plugged into
the Grubby connection. Essentially, Teddy ran everything including Grubby. One of the problems
with these toys was that if Teddy didn't run, neither did anything else. There were several clothes
outfits for Teddy And Grubby and the only version of Teddys that had clothes. There were also
"speciality" sets that were large boxed sets that had a theme, book/tape set and a corresponding
outfit for Teddy (except for Lullabies II which had a pillow and blanket instead of an outfit)

Of the following 38 titles issued, 4 of the titles were available in the corresponding speciality set only. They are: Teddy Ruxpin's Christmas (with
Santa suit), Teddy Ruxpin sings the Love Songs (with Tuxedo), Teddy Ruxpin's Summertime (with Shorts set), and Lullabies 2 (with pillow and
